Samsung 830 256gb clean install issue

Forum Storage : SSD Samsung 830 256gb clean install issue

I'm attempting to run a win7 64bit clean install with the samsung 830 256gb, upgrading from a crucial C300 64gb. My MB is a p8p67 m-pro (b3) with firmware version 0713. the install cannot start for the following reason: "This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

In hindsight, I should have went for another crucial ssd (m4 256gb) with the same controller.

Here are the rest of my rig's specs:
i5-2500k stock
1tb seagate 7200rpm
CFd 6950 1gb xfx
Corsair AX 850
CD/DVD drive
BR drive

Any help would be appreciated... thx

1. Have you updated your system BIOS, Intel Chipset, and SATA drivers?

There have been BIOS updates, a chipset update, and several SATA updates for your motherboard:

2. Is the ssd listed as the primary boot disk in the System BIOS?
