Upgrading to Intel--Suggestions Please

Got about $600 to drop into going Intel I was looking into getting the i7?

1.) Ivy or Sandy?
2.) Which board is best for a decent price?

My set-up is a custom LCS and it will be running games and multiple VM's...BTW it will be used in OC scenarios...Thanks in advance for suggestions/advice

Will you ever do anything above 2 way crossfire?

You want a board with lots of power phases! The Z77 professional has 16+8!

Thx muffin...suggestion duely noted....so Ok i7 2600K and the Z77 it is...I hope AsRock makes good boards I haven't any experience with them....60 GB SSD for free is very nice though...
