Radeon and custom resolution

I need to use 4:3 custom screen resolution (for 3D) in widescreen LCD monitor.

I hate Geforce because it cannot make true custom resolution.
If I make 1000 x 1000 as example, I had to use it as "Do not scale" (display with around black bars). It has to not stretch.
But it stretch to whole area of monitor.

So if Radeon use custom resolution and add 1000x1000, does it work with letterbox?

Why do you want to use a custom resolution? It wouldn't look as good because it will either be stretched by the monitor or have black bars
Edit: I noticed you said you want a 4:3 res on 16:10/9. If you do that, just render the photo in the 4:3 ratio
