New build, no video signal to monitor? XFX 5870

I ruined a corsair h50, it was really hard to mount the push pull system.
I am using the stock cooler now, but will by a thermalrite ultra

My question is, I have not signal to my monitor from the xfx 5870. I have not loaded an OS, but wanted to check the bios.
Why cant I get a signal to my viewsonic 22"? I am using a DVI to HDMI cable. DVI from the card HDMI into the monitor.

Ahhrrg. I am enjoying the build though.

Does it work with the integrated graphics? Maybe it's having trouble detecting the card so you might have to boot with the integrated, change the settings in the bios to use the 5870 then plug it into the 5870.
