Whats the difference between these 2 amd chips?

They both look the same and cost the same. Which one would be the better buy?

95w does what it sounds like it does...uses less power . Go for the 95.

Also based on the model number (MBOX vs IBOX at the end), it seems like the 95 is the c3 stepping, which means it'll overclock better. At that price, do you think you'd be able to go a little more and get this though?

the 955 has an unlocked multiplier making it easier to OC.

The 95W version runs at slightly lower voltage and does generate less heat, but the 125W version is close to the bottom of its envelope so the difference in heat is not as much as the 30W difference in spec would lead you to believe, its only about 10-15W but its still significant enough to make the 95W a better choice.

The first ones newer architecture and a little faster than the second one...... where it says hyper transports.... 4000, the older one was 3600 I think. Almost always better to go to newer stuff.... but like the option of Black Editions...... as stated above. 955/965

The 955 that he listed is the C3 stepping, it runs a bit cooler and OC's a bit higher than the C2 stepping that you linked to, and is $5 less ironically. You want the C3 stepping if they are the same price but definitely want it if its going to be cheaper too.
