Can you use 2 routers?

I've been having very annoying connection interruptions on my computer but it seams like they are limited to just my computer as we still have Vonage dial tone. Right now our setup is it comes in from the outside into the cable modem and then into the router with built in Vonage adapter. I was planning on getting a new router when I moved out but I was thinking of buying it now because of the problems I've been having. The main problem is the router I'm looking at does not have Vonage and I would prefer not having to spend the money on a separate adapter. Is it possible to set it up to use both of them? And how would I go about setting that up?
