not able to defrag;message says run f drive not C

I attempted to run defrag today and was stopped with a message stating that defrag was scheduled to run on C drive. It advises me to run chkdsk/f. Anyone have a clue how to get out of this? It worked great about two months ago. I have a small volume PC.

It thinks your hard drive is having issues. Run chkdsk /f like it suggests, then you can run the defragger. open a command prompt and type

chkdsk c: /f

replacing c with the drive letter of the drive you are trying to defrag.
