Intel processors confusion

I'm so confused with the modern tech nowadays. I need a laptop (preferably ultrabook) for web design/developement (cs5.5 web premium) and multitasking, most probably video editing. So which intel processor is better? in relevance also with RAM and RPM. I'm so confused with which processor that can cope with the requirements.

I don't really understnad these things. Please help.

i5 will do well. i7 even better for video editing.

The first generation will do or the latest one. And the graphic chip... which one is better? AMD or INTEL? Thanks for your fast reply.

If you are talkning laptops, the second or third generation. For video editing, intel's intigrated graphics that come with either the i5 or the i7 can speed things up with "quick sync".
