Wireless/Bluetooth are they the same

I think I want to switch to a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. The wireless units I have used in the past had a recever on the desk that plugged into a usb port. My new computer has a Bluetooth modual in it. I'm trying to reduce the cluter on my desk. When I search for Bluetooth keyboards the results include wireless stuff. Is wireless just another word for Bluetooth?

Bluetooth is a particular RF communication protocol, but is not the same as what would be termed a basic "wireless" keyboard/mouse which is still an RF signal, but not necessarily the same protocol. So really, they are all RF, but communicate slightly differently.
