Howdy and my thoughts on building a whole new GAMING SYSTEM.

Well I have done it again.

I Upgraded to the point that I have built and entirley new system and it is one of those builds where you are not sure if it was worth it or not.

Yep it is faster but there are some quirks.

Enve worse is that I put Windows 7 Pro 64 on it so I can't use Outlook Express for my mail anymore.

(I allways used Outlook Expres for my main mail account and Yahoo mail for something that might get me spammed.) anyway.. PPPFFFTTT

I am sure the CPU is good.
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition 3.4Ghz Unclocked

Graphics Cars is cool.
ATI Radeon 4870

Ram is neato.
4 GB Viper Patriot DDR3 1666

Now the MAIN BOARD is a big question mark for me.

Gigabyte GA-790XTA-UD4

I am wondering if anyone has any comments either good or bad.

It is a decent motherboard with USB 3.0 and SATA 6.0Gb/s support, so you have room to upgrade when they become mainstream. Other words, you made a good choice and should be good to go.
