Hey TomsHardware..

Thanks for the help in the paste..

I got a quick question, actually 2..
Is ATi better than geforce theese days?

And, will my Sapphire RADEON HD 5870 fit on my 590 sli chipset?

My motherboard does support PCI-e 16x 2.0 but is that all there is to, whether my card will work or not?

Once again thx for the help..

A 5870 will work with your motherboard

Please don't ask "Is ATi better than geforce theese days?" You'll start a HUGE agruement/flame war.

You have to make up your own mind, based on what you want from your graphics card. Personally I go for whoever is making the best bang for buck card be it ATi or nVidia.

Yea tha figured.. :) its just all my friends are huge geforce "fans" so if i asked them what i should get they'd say a geforce card no matter what..

Well thats because ATi recently released their 5xxx Series cards with support for DX11 and eyefinity (use up to 3 monitors with 1 card)

Both companys have perks, nVidia has PhysX, ATi has Eyefinity. ATi is the only company to have DX11 cards out, but nVidia will be releasing their DX11 cards soon-ish (No offical release date).

Just shop around, read some reviews of different card, decide if physX or Eyefinity is important to you ( niether are to me).
