Ok. So I have a NZXT Phantom, which has 180mm maximum height for a CPU cooler. I am installing the 30mm thick side fan, so that reduces it to 150mm. However, I don't want the CPU cooler like touching the fan, so I prefer >120mm. I have an i5 3550, and even though stock heatsink should be enough, its far too loud at idle for some reason, and is even louder than my GPU.

So really, I just want something that is lower than 120mm, performs even identical to a stock fan, (As long as it doesn't make it hotter than a stock fan), I just want something quiet and small. I'd also rather keep it into the $60 range.

Note: I also have a 1155 pin motherboard, so please help me.

Much appreciated

Oh ok sweet, is this quiet and at least on par with the stock heatsink?

Thanks.

If I wanted it even quieter, should I just stick a Noctua fan on it? I really hate noise, especially when it comes through my sound cancelling headphones.
