Hello,
Apparently, I've a faulty hard drive on my dell inspiron N5010. Since I'm not a pro, my plan of action is to purchase the disk and then get it installed by a technician. Could anyone suggest hard drives which are compatible with the above system? Just to add, I require minimal storage space. Any help would be much appreciated.

Ah hold on I ll go look, brb

I think the best bet is to let the technician decide since I imagine you will not want to give him an out after paying him that "it wasn't his fault". Replacing a HD involves

1. removing screws that hold it in
2. removing data and power cable
3. putting back the cables
4. putting back the screws
5. reinstalling Windoze
6. replacing programs and data
