Need help overclocking!! i7 3820, X79

Hey overclockers,

I've been trying to overclock my system for like a month straight now, and I can't seem to get anything stable. I've never really had any success with any of the guides on how to do it.

I've been able to OC on my other system but never anything major that would stay stable, any help would be greatly appreciated. Got too frustrated trying again today to push it even to 3.9 lol

Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Please and thank you

Processor: Intel Core i7 3820 Processor (4x 3.60GHz/10MB L3 Cache)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4
Memory: 16 GB [4 GB X4] DDR3-1600 - G.Skill Ripjaws X
Power Supply NZXT 1000 Watt
Processor Cooling: Liquid CPU Cooling System [SOCKET-2011] w/ Standard 120mm Fan

I wouldnt go over 1.35v though
