I have a PV-HS2000. Recently I'm getting a lot of disconnects ("no
video signal detected" flickers on the screen), then it reconnects.
It's getting more & more constant and is really annoying. There
is also a "hiss" coming from the Replay unit. Cable TV works fine
when I don't use Replay. Any ideas on what's going on?

Do you get this problem on more than one input (the unit has 4
different video input jacks - don't forget to try them all)? When I
had a problem like that, it was just a loose input jack. I could fix
that or use a different input. That could explain both the missing
video and the audio hiss.

You've eliminated one possible cause of the problem, and now know more
about it than many people would.

It could be a disk problem, as another poster suggested. Replacing the
drive is easy if you have a computer you can use.
