Does my mobo support PCI-Express 2.1 ?

The graphics card I was thinking of getting, Asus ATI Radeon HD 5670, says PCI Express 2.1 support. Does this mean my mobo has to support it?

My motherboard is the MSI P45 Platinum Motherboard.

Yes it will work, its all backward compatible. A 2.1 card would even work in a PCIe x16 1.0 slot, albeit potentially bottlenecked.

yes it will work... that mb is pcie2.0 certified as it has one 2.0 slot.
That mb isnt too old as it was released just over a year ago.
