Dvd drive does not detect

Hello,
my pc does not detect the dvd drive
when boot time also doe not detect,
how to solve this problem

Check the cables connected to it. You have either a flat ribbon (IDE) or a slim cable (SATA) and a molex power cable connected to it. Make sure the molex cable is connected and check the IDE/SATA connection to the drive and to the motherboard.

Reboot and see if it detects it. Check for the activity light flashing on your dvd drive. If you don't see this then its not getting recognized. You can try a different molex cable and replace the IDE/SATA cable as well and retry.

Also, press delete during beginning of boot up to go into your BIOS and make sure the dvd drive is showing in the drive list on the 1st menu...
