More about please rate range
  1. Its not a bad rig you will definitely want to overclock the E8500 it will do 4 ghz no problems at all.

Also ditch XP you are missing out with XP get your self a copy of Windows 7 64bit it will be alot snappier and it looks great too windows xp is 32 bit so it can only use 3 of your 4 gigs of ram and the RAM it can use windows xp manages it very poorly.

    Case is good

Good motherboard it will overclock well.

Kingston Ram depending on which set you got but kingston is ok RAM

Power Supply is Average nothing special there

The GTS 250 hate to break it to you but its just a rebranded 9800GT but still an OK card.

On a rateing from 1 to 10 10 being the best I would rate your system a 4 or 5 it will game fairly good depends on the game and what res you play at the 250 will have trouble with anything above 1680 x 1050. For your everyday task Internet, Word, Excel stuff like that it will run without a hitch, video rendering will fall abit short being a dual core.

The reason for the low rating is because its a dual core if it was a quad core I would raise it up to a strong 6 but more and more apps are starting to take advantage of more cores.
  2. for the budget its a strong build but that is only for a resolution of 1280x1024

    i would get a 8/10
  3. and as a Gts 250 is a rebranded 9800GTX+ which 5-8% more powerful than 9800gt
but if you upgrade your gpu to a GTX260 or the 5770 it would be a solid rig to play at
    1680 x 1050

wait wait wait i could overclock to 4ghz with stock fan???i was thinking something a little more safe like 3.6
  5. well no not with stock fan but the E8500 will do 3.6 to 3.8 on stock fan but you should get an aftermarket cooler anyway.
  6. great rig, hope ur undervolting that e8500
  7. If 5 = average, then:

    7/10. This is Sparta -1 = 6/10 lol

Powerful dual core, decent gaming GPU.
  8. Kicks mine to the curb
