How much power do you have to use to get the intel i5-3570K to 4.4Ghz. Is it even possible?

It is quite possible to get the 3570k to 4.4 ghz and it all depends on what you have added for power so far. The issue that you are running into with the Ivy Bridge and adding voltage at the higher overclocks can best be explained in this article.

With the Ivy Bridge cpu being a low power cpu it presents issues at the higher overclocks when you go to add voltage to get the cpu stable in Windows.

I was about to ask a similar question. So the linked guide will apply to the i5?

you can always go to overclock . Net and you have youtube also
but be aware you need to have either liquid cooling or some badass air cooling if you want 4.4 or 4.5
