I have installed Windows xp pro sp3 on all 30 computers and all are connected with domain
.But 12 no. of computers on the network does not remember password of network shared drives and shared printers . Whenever I poweroff the pc and start it next time it again ask the username , password of shared drives and printers. As I have already selected the Remember password option.Then I also updated windows of two no. of computers but does not solved the problem.
In a domain environment there is no need for each computer to remember passwords to resources. AD uses a single signon which is good for all shared resources, assuming correct permissions. I suspect that you are not in fact on a domain but are using a workgroup.
