Hello Toms Hardware. I have just registered and I am building a gaming PC.

I really need to find a motherboard. Here's what I need it to support/have:

LGA 1366 Socket (i7)

3 PCI Express 2.0 (Supports 3-way SLI, 16x16x8)

Any size, i would prefer just keeping at Regular ATX, and not extended. But If you find an amazing one that is extended that is ok.

I'd like to keep the price around $200-$250. Lower if it could be.

Thank you.

Hello and welcome to the forums
X58A-UD3R is good a choice,ASUS RAMPAGE III Extreme is also great

However its out of your price range and that's because you need a motherboard with x16x16x8 SLI support, you can however go with motherboards that support SLI with x16x8x8 which will give you roughly the same performance(maybe 5% slower on very high resolutions like 2560x1600 or higher), and save some cash.
In that case,ASUS P6X58D-E is a good choice and fits in your price range

Wow guys. Thank you for replying.

So, heres what I am wondering.

Say I have 4 GTX 470's and a ASUS Rampage ||| Extreme.

Would have 3 if them in 16x8x8 be better than 4 of them 8x8x8x8?

The one with all 4 cards correct? The reason I'm asking is because I really don't know the difference it makes with 16x and all.

I think I might save a little more andd get then Rampage though.

Well 3-way and 4-way SLI aren't very optimized,so don't expect a huge difference between 2-way SLI compared to 3-way and 4-way SLI.
However since you already have 4 cards, then the only possible(and the best) configuration is 8x8x8x8x

If you had 4 gpu's bank on shopping for a new case like a HAF X otherwise they won't fit.

I just plan on having 3 GTX 470's in the end.

It's supposed to fit, I will have the Antec 1200, a Full-ATX case.
