Hello,

I have a Windows XP Home Ed 1998 and cannot load windows. I get this message:
Intel(R) Boot Agent Ver 4.1.03
Copy right 1997-202 Intel Corp.
PXE-E61: Media test failure, check cable
PXE-M0F: Exiting Intel Boot Agent
Insert syste disk in drive

I do not have the original disk. Please help!

Thank you

No such thing as XP Home Ed 1998

The boot drive isn't being seen so the system is falling through to PXE. Possible causes are failed hard drive or cables aren't tight.

You've likely experienced a hard drive failure and need to replace it. Hope you have backups of your data.

Cables are fine. Anything you know that might help bring back windows?
