How do i add manufacturer to list for scanners and cameras on windows xp

I cannot download pictures from my digital sanyo camera, sanyo not listed on manufactures list in scanners and cameras

how are you connecting the camera to the computer?

most of the time ta camera shows up as a removable drive in My Computer
