Motherboard is not a performance factor.. That role is for the CPU in major.. As for RAM, it all depends on the file sizes you are working with.. Bigger the file sizes, higher the RAM quantity required.. In addition, faster storage options such as RAID 0 setups, SSD's will play a performance enhancing role..
