I have a netgear WGR614v5 with Firmware Version V1.0.9_1.0.6
Mode is set to g & b and im using WEP 128 bit.

Same old story, the LAN works great when plugged in, but the wireless is very spotty.
I tried everything I could think of, eliminated all possible interferences like the baby monitor, etc.
The router is about 5-6 years old. I did a hard reset and that didnt seem to help.
Any suggestions? Thanks

Probably worth looking for a newer router if wireless is dropping off. Especially if it's an old wireless b model with WEP only -- newer model will be quicker and more secure.

Thanks for the quick answer. I probably need a new router at this point.
I just am curious if anyone has an answer, why does a router go "bad" (i.e. drop connections)?
