Ok well I'm in need of a solid motherboard for around 100$. During my research I came across these two, don't know which i should go with(was leaning towards the ASROCK).

Already had this board suggested to me, but had to RMA it because it would not POST and it seems it is a regular problem with that board from other reviews.

Any other good ones out there I haven't come across? From the articles I've read, these are the best three for around that price tag.

i got that same asrock 870 just showed up today. used the cl7 ripjaws 5770 and athlon x3 all booted and installed windows no issues or bios tweaks required. unlocked my x3 and everything is running fine atm i cant find 1 complaint. only thing to complain about this board is the audio plug is right under the pcie so dont plan on using your front panel

Well with the msi one alot of ppl are having trouble with that board even tho it has good specs and reviews from articles, so i dont want to go through that again if i can avoid it.

Well aside from the crossfire and/or overclock features, do the boards differ in any way that I would pick one over the other? (Excluding the 1 SATA port that the giga board has over the Asrock board)

Yes i missed CF,MrMooky is right, if you need CF support, then go with Asrock, dual 8x performs noticeably better than 16x4x.
As for the MSI one, well there are always satisfied/dissatisfied customers with a product, but its got good reviews around the web.
