I have some spare parts from a friends computer that she no longer wants so i am wondering if you could help me decide on other parts will best make the new computer effecient.

I have a budget of £200.

These are the parts that i do have:

RADEON HD 3850 AGP (512)

500gb SATA Hard Drive

550w PSU

So what i am looking for now is a motherboard that can support AGP and PSI for longevity purposes. Also a mobo that can have up to 8Gb RAM. A Solid Dual Core or effecient Quad core processor. Good value and easy to asemble tower case.

Any suggestions?

or would i be better off just selling the radeon and memory and building a PCI / DDR2 or DDR3 system. Would this be posible for £200?

I wouldn't build with DDR. In fact, I'm not sure if you can find new stuff that uses DDR...

I would sell it and keep the money. Start saving it to get a decent computer, or look into buying a prebuilt. As far as building a quality system, I don't think it's possible for that price...
