Stuttering when watching HD1080 videos.

When I watch 1080 videos, the screen stutters and skips. Only happens when watching 1080 videos.


Is it my video card, power supply or hard drive connected via USB 1.0?

Heres my setup.

Intel D915 processor, 512megs of ram, Nvidia Geforce 9500, 305watt powersupply and an external hard drive connected via USB.

The movies I play are connected via external hard drive through a USB 1.0 port.

All my other movies work fine, even the lower resolution HD movies(720).

Most likely it's the 512mb of ram. That is very low by today's standards. Adding another gig would be a very good idea and should make a lot of difference in general as well as likely solving this problem.
It could also possibly be the USB 1.0. Try putting one of them on your actual hard drive and see if you have the same issue.

It could also possibly be the USB 1.0. Try putting one of them on your actual hard drive and see if you have the same issue.
