Greetings to you all,

I have a Q6600 CPU with 2x2 Gigs of 1066 MHz Rams and a 8800GTS 512 but no motherboard. I'm looking for a MoBo with good OCing and performance skills.

I have some options below. Which one can be the best suitible for my needs.

DFI Lanparty DK X48-T2RS Plus = 113$ (16 months guarantee)
GIGABYTE EP45-UD3P rev1.6 = 120$ (no guarantee)
GIGABYTE EP45C-DS3R = 87$ (no guarantee)
MSI P45 Neo2-FIR = 133$ (no guarantee)
GIGABYTE X48-DS5 = 127$ (24 months guarantee)
GIGABYTE X38-DQ6 = 100$ (3 months guarantee)
Gigabyte EP45-DS3R = 80$ (2 months guarantee)

All of them are used hardware.

Thank you for your help.

Sorry about that. I live in Turkey and I have to choose one from the list I wrote.

Any of the boards x48, x38 or P45 will perform well with a Q6600 the X48 being the top socket 775 chipset. The P45's will do just as well. Of the units you have listed, I would choose one the Gigabyte boards.

ok, I think I will go for x48 but what about ICH9R and ICH10R difference?

P45 has ICH10R but X48 has ICH9R

I am running a Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a E6600 (dual core - wish it was a Q6600) it will run well with "Gigabyte EP45-DS3R = 80$ (2 months guarantee)" and I have had it for 4 years (?) I think... could be 5 yrs. Quality build anyway. Are they refurbished motherboards? Come to think of it, I wouldn't mind having any of those boards. I'd say go for GIGABYTE X48-DS5 = 127$ (24 months guarantee) since it will work with all you stuff and OC. Used mobo...highest guarantee will be your best bet.

They are not refurbished I think. But yes, guarantee is important to me too.

The only thing I want to know about is the ICHx. I read somewhere that ICH10R is faster than ICH9R for raid0 configuration.

P45 has ICH10R but X48 has ICH9R

you can zip-tie a 40mm fan to the chipset heatsink if that is what you are worried about. I dont know the differences between the chipsets, but I imagine from your post the 10R is the better OC'er? I don't know dude...pick your poison I guess... chipset or guarantee... remember though - used motherboard

Really thank you for comparison links.

X48 has better memory, raid 0 and crossfire performance while P45 has better CPU performance.

Since I'm a gamer, X48 is the one I need.
