All files are hidden because format change to fat32

hi
i have hard external 1 gigabit, i had 750 GB all kind information inside that , my freind connected hard external to his computer (macbook) for insert some information for himself, but suddenly one message come (TIME MACHINE) AND then we check out hard external, but then i connected with my laptop hard external didnt show any file to us, and all file have hidden , how can i recover all them?

If the mac truly changed the drive from NTFS (windows) to FAT32 your data was most likely destroyed. You can try recovery software and see if it can locate your files.
