Overclocking Help?

Hi Guys,

I have a Phenom 965 BE and an ASRock970 Extreme 3 motherboard.

I have managed to get multiplier to x18 (3.6ghz) and voltage to 1.4v Running at 60-61c full load

However while testing on Prime95 i have noticed that in CPU-Z the Core speed drops from 3600Mhz to 3220Mhz for about a second and then goes back up again and have also noticed the voltage fluctuates from 1.432 V all the way up to 1.448

Should that be happening?

Its my first time OC'ing

check at bios disabled the CPU Thermal Throttle option , turbo core and CnQ ?

CnQ C1E were already disabled I have just disabled CPU TT aswel, however I dont see a turbo core option?

I have notice in CPU-Z it only drops to around 3435-3590 Occasionally But seems to stay at 3600 most of the time?

Is that much expected or should it not drop at all?

did you mean you want drop auto voltage and multi also speed at idle and fulload raise again ? do the opposite for CnQ ( enabled)

I mean Whilst stress testing it for stability in prime 95 the clock speed randomly drops from 3.6 to around 3435-3590 for about a second or two then returns back to 3.6. Is it meant to be like that. At some points it has even dropped to about 3.2

Keep in mind that it is being fully tested at 100% CPU so why would it drop?
