My bios and windows 7 (64) only shows 2gb out of 4gb
bios reads DDR 333 Dual Channel 128 bit
ive switched the sticks around and all are working
also the bios was recently updated to 1013

anything i should change in the bios? or anything else i can try?

AMD Athalon 64 3200
ASUS A8N-E mobo
4 sticks of:
Patriot Signature Series 1GB (2 x 512MB)
184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit System

Go to msconfing>boot>advanced options and make sure "Maximum memory" is unchecked.

All you have is 2G or ram there bro. You have 4 sticks. What you have is 4 512 sticks that equals 2G.

You bought the wrong kit for 4G, you should have:
Patriot Signature Series 2GB (2 x 1G) x2 or
Patriot Signature Series 4GB (2 x 2G)

Your sticks are 512MB, put only one in and look in the bios, it will say 512.

The first clue should have been the price:)
