I7 960 3.2ghz to 3.6ghz

Hi there,

I want to overclock my i7 960 from 3.2ghz to 3.6ghz (or possibly 3.8ghz) but I'm not sure what voltage/other settings to use. Can I just overclock it without worrying about changing the voltage?

My mobo is an Asus p6x5d-e and my 6gb RAM is at 1600mhz.

Cheers,

Cam

PS Please just don't point me to a guide, I want someone experienced to help me. :)

they are usually written by experienced people (on here atleast)

you might be able to get away with stock voltage if you're lucky, if not a small jump in voltage
  2. I found this quote on the internet: I'm running now @ 3.6Ghz simply by raising my BCLK from 133 to 150 and changed no other settings, been running like this for a week no prob.

Will the BCLK affect the RAM or anything? Is this BCLK setting okay?
  3. BLCK will affect the ram, but that's it (for first gen atleast)
  4. Can someone explain it to me?

For instance, what do all these things mean?
