Asus p6x58d-e/VGA X58 FTW3 Ram

Hello,

Which of these motherboards is the superior motherboard?

ASUS P6X58D-E - $230

or

EVGA X58 FTW3 - $270

However I also want some decent, fast ram(8-12Gigs). About 1600 because I do plan on overclocking the i7-930 cpu.
What about these:

Patriot Viper II Sector 7 Edition 12GB -(3x4) $430 (however this ram and the evga mobo come in a bundle that saves $130 when you add the two up.

I am not sure if these are compatible with any of the mobos but they fit the bill

Patriot Gamer Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) - $430

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) - $240

Or would it be an option with the 8gig ram I chose, to just buy a third stick? (if it is compatible with the mobos)

Both of those motherboards are good,you can't go wrong with either.
As for RAM,well even 6GB is overkill for most tasks, there is no need to get 12GB.
Since you are going to OC,then go with this G.Skill model
