Where can you find this hard drive?

The System Builder Marathon, Dec. 2011: $600 Gaming PC article, http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/core-i5-overclock-performance-gaming,3097.html, listed this harddrive for $50:

Seagate Barracuda ST3500413AS 500 GB SATA 6Gb/s

I wasn't able to find any new harddrives even close to $50 on newegg, did the price just increase all of a sudden this month?

I managed to find a similar one:

for $85

The prices went up dramatically after the floods in Thailand caused a hard drive shortage.

Happens all the time, it was the same way with my Agility 3 SSD, i got it for $90 but then soon after it was up over $100, but over the next few days the drive climbed back down to $90.

That's why the January marathon had budgets ~$50-$100 higher. They wanted the same level of performance, but HDD prices jumped.
