Appropriate PSU?

I am looking to replace my PSU. My current PSU is a three or four year old Antec TruePower 500something. It doesn't seem to like my setup. The PSU I am considering, however, is the Nexus Value 430, which is less powerful I assume?

My concern is that if my current PSU is doing the job, a less powerful PSU wont be able to do the job either. I am told, however, that setups like mine are only not very power hungry.

Any insight?

My PSU is powering:
A new, cheap, gigabyte board with AM 3 (athlon II) CPU.
GeForce 9500 GPU (just one)
1 terabyte HD (just one)
Some old DVD/R.

I'm told that should require less than 300 watts.

Can't say 100% for sure it is more powerful with out a link to review the value's specs. I'm pretty sure that most likely the Corsair has a higher 12v rail, which is important in PSU. I can say that the Corsair is more reliable and the better PSU manufacturer.
