Hi,

I need an upgrade on my PC. New CPU, CPU-Cooler and RAM.

CPU - http://www.ditech.at/artikel/IDE850/Prozessor_INTEL_Cor...

CPU-Cooler - http://www.ditech.at/artikel/CLEKL9/Prozessorkuehler_EK...

RAM - http://www.ditech.at/artikel/QDGC1B/DDR2-RAM_KIT_2_GB_1...

System:
ASUS P5QL Pro
ENERMAX PRO82+ 425Watt
ATI HD4850 512mb 256bit
320GB HDD

I would like to Overclock the CPU till 3,8ghz~+ and my question is does this all fit good together? Maybe another CPU Cooler or RAM?

Thanks

Welcome to Toms Hardware

The E8500 is a great processor it will go to 3.8 ghz with little trouble and should do it on its stock voltage heat should not be too much of an issue. The CPU cooler you listed is not a very popular one but should work nicely. Your ram I would suggest getting these instead.

1066 mhz ram will show you no performance gain over these 800 mhz corsairs also these have lower timings so will be better if you will be gaming. 1066 Ram is just overclocked 800mhz RAM. If you notice these run at 2.1 volts where as the dominator run at 2.2 volts so its the same RAM that they just added more volts on the spd and upped the clock speed so you might as well save the money and get these. But either set are good.

This cooler is a tried and true great cooler and it is cheaper.

Ye i would be using it mainly for 1 game - CSS, need good fps.
What about RAM exactly, it's not rly a big difference beetwen the money so i that's why im asking for advice. Not that there would be a problem OverClocking it? Because right now i have 667mhz samsung and for example ppl said i wouldnt go so far overclocking that.

About the cooler i would even give few euros more for it, because i think it's really important and i would like have one of the better 1's to be sure.

Well the E8500 has a 9.5 multiplier so its 9.5 x 333 = 3160mhz or 3.16 ghz so in 1:1 you will be running your ram at 667 mhz. To acheive 3.8 ghz you will be running 9.5 x 400=3800mhz 3.8ghz so even at that your ram is running at 800mhz the RAM I listed will overclock easily upto 1000mhz+ so you will be fine with overclocking. For gaming its better to have RAM with the lowest timings.

The HYPER 212 I listed may be a little cheaper but it is a great cooler the one you listed I never heard of before.
