Why am i not administrator of my own computer

I can no longer perform administrator options on my pc.. This is particularly unhelpful as there are several programs I cannot install due to this annoying & very frustrating problem... Please help !!??

The person who DOES have administrator privilege, needs to add you as an administrator.
