am I able to hook my computer up to my panasonic 50 in. tv?

A few scenarios:
You are easily if your video output on your computer is the same as your video input on your tv (i.e. HDMI, DVI, Display)
You are with the purchase of an adapter if your computer outputs (say) DVI and your tv only supports HDMI.
