  1. The official power requirements for that card are a minimum 400W PSU for a single card system or a minimum 500W PSU for a dual-card configuaration. I guess for the small difference in power output you had just as well go for the 500W at least since this will give you more headroom in the future if you wish to upgrade.

However, saying that the best-looking PSU that is GOLD certified like you specified seems to be the Seasonic X650 which is a very good PSU:

    Hope this helps!
  2. There are two fantastic 500w models from ENERMAX.

    ENERMAX MODU 87+ http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=25&no=67

    ENERMAX PRO 87+ http://www.enermax.com/home.php?fn=eng/product_a1_1_1&lv0=1&lv1=26&no=70

About the case, buy this one if you can afford the price (it's very expensive, +300€). In my opinion, nowadays the best case.

  3. Seasonic = My #1 favorite for energy efficiency, and the X650 is a superb model.

However, 650w may be a little overkill for you, but if you don't mind spending the extra money on a Gold cert. then I'm sure you won't mind the extra wattage for capacitor aging. (meaning it'll last you longer)
  4. Another vote for the Seasonic X-650 gold. I've got one in my newest personal pc. The psu is definitely quiet and voltages are rocky steady.

Currently there are no gold certified low wattage power supplies available. All nine if them are 600 watts or higher.

These 500W psus are gold certified.
  6. Henry - Are you in Europe? Those two 500 watt models are available in Europe but not in the USA. At least not yet. Just about all of the Google search results link to EU web sites.

Here are the gold certified power supplies available in the USA:

Yes. I'm in Europe. This policy from Enermax is a bit strange...
Anyway, The Seasonic X-series psus are as good as the enermax ones (x-650 vs modu87+ 700w). Source: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/900/9
  8. thank you all
Every one agree that 500 watt from ENERMAX are also gold and the same quality as 600 watt?
  9. I am from ISRAEL.
It seems that this wonderfull PS are not available.
So I consider CORSAIR PS HX or VX .
I see all advantgae to HX520W over VX550 : modular+ less noisy + better efficiency
  10. Corsair is a brand that has a reputation for high quality power supplies that consistently earn high marks in technical reviews. They are reliable, stable, and come with a 5 year warranty in the USA. Some of the newer models come with a 7 year warranty
  11. All of the corsair psus are top quality, and the HX series is their best.
  12. any special advantage of hx650 over hx520 beside power?
is hx520 very quiet ?and quieter then hx650?
which case is quieter :LIAN LI PC-X1000 or p182 or p183 or HAF 922 or ANTEC SOLO?
