when i start my computer it shows black screen with a movable cursor

Im using Window XP SP3, When computer starts it shows a black screen with a cursor and the cursor can move

Please help because I tried to repair window but still nothing is still does samething and is the first time encounting this problem. please help.

did you try repairing by booting from cd?

is booting from cd enabled as 1st option in your boot order?
