Hello, I opened my PC and broke off tiny tines that were soldered to the unit. Is this fatal? If not, what can I do?

There is a flat red belt about 3/4 of an inch wide with connections on each end that plug into the hardware - one into the motherboard, the other into something else. On the end that plugs into the motherboard the tines were very weak and bent very easily when I attempted to re-plug the connector back in - they then broke off.

My inability to describe this more accurately is exactly the reason I'm seeking help. I shouldn't have been pulling anything out of anywhere in the first place. It seems clear that the tines were soldered into the board. There are five or six of them and they broke off very easily.
