I finally put together my gaming computer and started to overclock.
I want to test out the system to see if it is stable and i dont know what software, how to run the tests, or what to expect from the results.
Here is my rig:
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($189.99 @ Microcenter)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($27.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($181.98 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($54.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 830 Series 128GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($109.99 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 670 2GB Video Card ($399.99 @ NCIX US)
Case: Zalman ZM-Z9 U3 (Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($64.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk II 750W 80 PLUS Silver Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply
I overclocked the CPU to 4.2 and left the GPU with its stocked overclock.
The CPU voltage is on auto and runs at 1.164 to the mobos auto of 1.194
I changed the memory to 8-8-8-24 from the mobos auto of 11-11-11-28 to fit the memory i bought
I had it at 4.3 and slightly increased the GPUs overclock to 104% power and +24 core clock and + 12 memory clock but while playing borderlands 2 the game froze so i went back to 4.2, coulda been the GPU as well so i reverted that back to their defaulted stock overclock
