Hello,Toshiba hard drive, model px1269e-3g50, has been working perfectly for 3 years. yesterday disk was disconnected (disk was OFF; power and USB disconnected). Wanted to connect to another XP computer. HDD was not recognised by computer; no drive letter was assigned. Tried it again on the original computer: same problem. Tried it on a Windows 7 computer. Same problem; At regular intervals it shows up in my hardware list but with the message that it is unable to connect.
I have found on other forums that people had similar problems, but did not find a solution. Can anyone help me.
