D975xbx 8 pin power connector

Depends on the motherboard and CPU, some boards are fine with just the 4 pin, they usually have a little plastic cover over half of the 8 pin socket, some arent. Read through your motherboards manual, if it does need an 8 pin there are adapters that you can use.
