Hello, my house is not wired for ethernet but im getting ready to set up a wired network to go along with my wireless but I'm kinda stumped when it comes to connecting my wireless router and network switch. I've looked at a bunch of network diagrams and can't figure out which of the following I should do.

Internet > DSL Modem > Wireless Router > Switch > Computers

or

Internet > DSL Modem > Switch > Wireless Router > Computers

Additionally, should I keep my NAS attached to my wireless router or should it be moved to the switch? I want to maintain the fastest possible access for all devices as it will be used to stream video.

Thanks

The first and attach the NAS to the switch if all the computers are connected to the switch.

There will be 4 laptops that connect wirelessly to the router. Will they have access to the NAS if it us connected to the switch?
