Ok, so first off, I'll be playing CoD:MW2 & mostly Battlefield: Bad Company 2

I want a DirectX11 system, I'm an AMD fanboy but my current system is C2D for obvious reasons. So my biggest question is this...I want the new system to last as long as possible, should I go with the new AMD systems or stick with Intel and the i7.

My current list is this (AMD)

ASUS Crosshair III Formula AM3 AMD 790FX ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core
Mushkin Enhanced Blackline 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)
HIS H575Q1GD Radeon HD 5750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX
CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX 850W ATX12V 2.3 / EPS12V 2.91 80 PLUS SILVER Certified Modular

Just the basics listed, still need to get a heatsink, have a case. Thanks for any assistance.

Might want to reformat the post according to the guidelines from the link in my signature. What don't you need? What's the monitor resolution?

You're kidding right? An $1,100 gaming build, and you chose the 5750? You should be able to fit at least the 5870 in, if not the 5970 with careful planning and deals (or unnecessary parts).

Here's what I've got for you.

Mobo/CPU: Asus M4A79XTD EVO and X4 955 $256 after rebate

RAM: Better deal: Corsair XMS3 1600 mhz CAS Latency 7 $110

HDD: Is this needed? If so, Samsung Spinpoint F3 500 GB $55

PSU: SeaSonic 850W 80+ Silver $110

Case: HAF 922 $90

HSF: Coolermaster Hyper 212 $30

GPU: HD 5870 $400

Optical (if needed): Cheapest SATA DVD burner $25

Total: $1,076. If you don't need the HDD or optical (and no OS)
