I have a Seagate TR-4 mini cartridge which I think has old files and programs on it that I'd like to use. Is there a special machine that I need to access this tape? A friend created this for me a long time ago as a backup to my dying computer. Can it connect directly to my PC? Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hey alton.
If he only gave you the tape, you need the TR-4 tape drive, many of which were SCSI based, so you probably would need a SCSI controller card too.
Have him recopy the data to a drive that you can use with NTFS format.
