Ask for motherboard recommendation

Hi all,

My old mobo died yesterday and I need to buy a new one plus a Phenom cpu (which is cheaper than i7 and i heard its performance for gaming is good).

I also want to keep my psu (corsair hx650W) and gpu (sapphire hd5770 1GB), both of which are only 6-month old.
Also, I still got a stick of 2G kingston ram DDR2 667. Should I buy new ddr3 ram or add one more 4G stick DDR2?

Another thing, I prefer the mobo to have CF support so I have room to get another 5770 if i want to upgrade.

My budget is under $500, btw.

Hello and welcome to the forums
If you can get DDR3,go for it because there are more DDR3 compatible AMD motherboards than DDR2 models.

Mobo: Gigabyte 890FXA-UD5
RAM: G.Skill 1600 same as Maziar recommends.
CPU: The Phenom II X6 1055T is in ur budget or the Phenom II X6 1090T is $60 more that ur budget.

Total with X6 1055T: $478.47 including shipping.
Total with X6 1090T: $558.47 including shipping.
