Will my system run an Ati HD 4650?

2gb RAM
300W PSU +12v/17a

And I'm talking about a pci-e 4650. Thanks in advance.

What motherboard are you using????If your motherboard has a pci-e slot then certainly you can add a Hd4650!!!!

yeah its sufficient for both 4650 and 4670....

Your PSU can only take 4650 because of higher speed of your CPU.

However, If you have plan to upgrade your PSU in near future, then buy a 4670.
But don't try to run it on that PSU, unless you have atleast 350W.

4650 is a great choice at $50
It will give you good performance in most games at 1280x1024

Hey a 4670 consumes 170W under full load which means it can draw 14A(max) on 12 v rails...Since your psu can provide 17 A on 12v there should not be any problem..

Thanks for the responses. I don't think I want to risk my system with the 4670 because It is relatively old, but I was looking at the gt 220. How is that compared to the 4650.

The 4650 is better than the 220 or the 4670? And temperatures may be an issue. I heard the 220 ran cooler and took less power than the 4670. I don't know about the 4650 though.

4670 > 220gt 1gb > 220gt 512mb ~= 4650 in terms of performance. Yes the 220 runs cooler and uses less power but it also performs less so things should even out.
